Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Sentinel is a service line of Avril Capital Co. Ltd., a Tanzanian private limited company registered in Dar es Salaam. The data controller for the personal information described in this policy is Avril Capital Co. Ltd. Contact: massao@avcap.co.tz.

2. What we collect via the Free Summary form

When you submit the Free Summary intake form on this site, we collect:

• The website URL or domain you submit for audit.
• Your contact email address.
• Technical metadata about the submission, such as the timestamp and the IP address of the request, retained by our form processor.

We do not collect any other personal information from visitors who do not submit the form. We do not use cookies, analytics tags, or third-party trackers on this site.

3. Why we collect it

We use the URL and email you provide solely to deliver the Free Public-Facing Summary you requested and to follow up about the audit. The lawful basis for processing under the Tanzania PDPA (2022) §11 and the EU GDPR Article 6(1)(b) is the performance of a service you have requested.

4. How we share it

The intake form submits to Web3Forms, a third-party form-processing service that emails the submission to our team and retains the message in our account. Web3Forms acts as a data processor on our behalf.

We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose your information to other third parties. We do not transfer your information outside Tanzania except via the Web3Forms email relay described above.

5. How long we keep it

We retain Free Summary submissions for up to 24 months after the date of submission, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Audit reports we deliver to paying clients are retained for the duration of the engagement plus seven years for records purposes, in line with Tanzanian commercial record-keeping norms.

6. Your rights

Under the Tanzania PDPA (2022) and, where applicable, the EU GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to processing of your data.
• Lodge a complaint with the Tanzania Data Protection Commission.

To exercise any of these rights, email massao@avcap.co.tz with the subject line “Data subject request.” We will respond within 30 days.

7. Audit reports

When Sentinel performs an audit of a client’s public-facing digital surfaces, the resulting report contains observations about that client’s site. Reports are confidential between Sentinel and the commissioning client. We do not display, share, or publish reports beyond the specific URL provided to the client without that client’s signed reference consent.

8. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices evolve. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated via the email address you provided, where one is on file.
